If there’s one thing I’m always on the search for, it’s a shampoo that will help to control my hair. For those of you who don’t know, I have very curly hair that is prone to frizz. I don’t tend to wear my hair curly too often, preferring a more sleek, straight style hence the constant search for products to keep the frizz under control.
Back in the summer I was recommended the Kérastase Descipline Shampoo. At around £20 a bottle I was a little sceptical. After all that’s a lot of money to spend on a shampoo I might not even like. Luckily I found it on offer online for about £12 so I decided to give it a try. And, spoiler alert… I’m glad I did.
How well does it work?
My hair tends to be quite difficult to clean. I have a spot on the back of my head that I need to pay particular attention to or else it always feels greasy, and overall my hair always just needs a lot of work. This shampoo ALWAYS leaves it feeling so clean and soft and as a result it always looks a lot bouncier.
Most importantly, this shampoo has definitely helped me to keep my frizz under control. My hair is a lot sleeker when I use this, and I can always see a difference when I use another shampoo. I also feel like my hair dries a lot straighter when I use this, but I’m not sure if that’s just me overthinking it.
This shampoo also comes in the most gorgeous pink bottle. I know this is a small detail when it comes to shampoo but when I’m paying a lot of money for something I always like when the packaging is insta-worthy ha. And the shampoo itself smells amazing! It has that real ‘hair salon’ smell (please tell me you know what I’m talking about with that) and it helps to make my hair cleaning routine feel a little more luxurious for me.
Full price, the Kerastase Discipline Shampoo sells at £20.20 for a 250ml bottle. I know that is a little pricey but I’ve found that you can almost always find it on offer somewhere. Also, you only actually need to use a tiny amount so the bottle lasts a long time, even if you double wash like I do. So I definitely think it’s worth the money and I can’t wait to try more from the range!
